Granite is an igneous rock primarily
consisting of quartz, feldspar and mica.
Granite is extremely hard and has low porosity
and permeability. Products designed specifically
for granite are formulated to complement these
physical characteristics and would etch softer,
more porous stones such as marble and limestone.
Granite is a very hard stone that will maintain it's beauty longer than any other stone. Regular maintenance will assure that the original beauty will last much longer. Hertron International produces a line of products for this purpose.
To ensure a surface is granite, check for:
• Difficulty to polish
• Speckled, interlocking crystalline appearance
• High resistance to acids and scratches

Granite one step polish and restorer
|
A one component granite polish. It may be used to polish any color granite. It works with regular steel wool pads on a 175 to 300 RPM buffing machine. Hertron has simplified and reduced the cost with this process. GRANITE ONE STEP will bestow a deep brilliant shine on many slightly dulled granite surfaces. GRANITE ONE STEP is the polish that will remove diamond swirls from granite if the stone had to be diamond honed.

Granite Ultimate Black
|
Produces that extra depth and color that is wanted on black stone or high shine on other colors.
Hertron recommends that the choice of steel wool pad be taken into consideration when working on a granite floor. Hertron has found that using ONE STEP with a #3 or #2 for a worn surface, may help produce the desired results. For the finial polish we recommend a #1 or #0 pad using the ULTIMATE BLACK.
HERTORN’S Granite products work very well on Verdi (green) and some black marble surfaces. On these stones the same procedures are used to restore these stones.
